– 兔子平均有8-12年壽命，紀錄更可達16-18歲。

– 兔子需要居住在25度以下的乾爽環境，所以於香港大部份時間或需長開冷氣或抽濕機來維持。

– 兔子位於食物鏈中的低層，屬獵物類，善於隱藏疾病及痛楚，主人需要非常細心留意每天兔子的飲食及行為跟平日有否異常，並建議於黃金6小時內迅速求醫。

– 兔子的祖先於大自然中需要逃亡，天生骨骼較輕盈亦較脆弱，不當照顧可能會造成骨折或脊椎受損，因此不適合小朋友作照顧者。

– 兔子屬珍禽異獸類，不是每位獸醫都能看診，醫療費亦較高昂，平均每次可達4-5位數，重症更有機會達6位數。

– Rabbits are at the bottom of the food chain, being prey. They are adept at hiding illness and pain, so owners need to pay close attention to their rabbit’s daily appetite and behavior for any abnormalities. It is recommended to seek veterinary care immediately within the critical 6 hours.

– Rabbits’ ancestors needed to escape in nature, and their bones are naturally lightweight but fragile. Improper care can cause fractures or spinal injuries, making them unsuitable for children to care for.

– Rabbits are exotic animals, and not every veterinarian can treat them. Medical expenses are also relatively high, averaging four to five figures per treatment, and potentially six figures for severe cases.
