Found 3 abandoned rabbits outside the Hong Kong Rabbit Society building main entrance

Earlier in the day our staff received a call without caller ID. A woman stated that she is going to bring few rabbits to abandon at the Centre. Our staff asked her to do application through normal procedure but the woman stated that she is on the way driving the rabbits to the Centre. Our staff refused to take the rabbits and informed her right application procedures.

Around 3pm, some of our members found that there were 2 rabbit cages with 3 abandoned rabbits dumped outside our building’s main entrance thus they notified our staff. Our staffed found in one of the rabbit cages stated “born in 26 December, 2012”!

The rabbits’ owner was extremely unscrupulous, even in daylight with watchful eyes and she still abandoned three rabbits on the street and left them in the rain.

The rabbits attracted many people on the street included students and old people.Our staff called the police immediate. The policy called SPCA to pick them up. There are lots of reporters taking photos and doing reporting.
